Mezzanine Stairs --This Isn't Pop Music

While bouncing around Reverbnation this evening I happened upon this great band. I am serious about this not being pop music. They do not follow easy listening patterns nor do they try to be melodic. What they do is keep you guessing as to what the next ten seconds of the song will be like much less the next half minute. This is loud, fast paced industrial music and it is good.

This is very creative, interesting and is best listened to at a loud volume. They have a large number of tracks for free download which shows an attitude I appreciate.

Old Man Motel

Old Man Motel is the musical construction of ambient/experimental musician Ari Porki. By referring to his music as experimental should not make you think that it is abrasive or hard to listen to. To the contrary, his music is both easy to listen to and interesting. It ranges from haunting and other worldly to mesmerizing and beautiful.

Highly recommended to those with an ambient bent. Eno would probably like it.
